Teacher Process
I based this WebQuest on a 2 week project because I only have my students for 30 minutes at a time. If you can dedicate an hour a day, it should only take a week, provided you give them a heads up about the interview and/or start on a Wednesday to be finished by the following Tuesday or Wednesday because I think a weekend is needed to conduct the interview.
Students should be familiar with using the World Wide Web as a resource (this should not be your first or second research project unless you want to take more time). I had students work individually, but that is because I only have 3 to 5 students at once and I wanted to make it more personal. You could choose certain jobs in different classes (labor, fast food, and a couple of professional jobs) and put kids to work on that job in groups of 3 or 4.
