Teacher Process
The first part of the WebQuest can be done as a class/home work assignment. The computer lab can be reserved for one day to record the nutritional merit of the foods selected. Results can be discussed in class. U.S.Dietary Guidelines can be reviewed in the text, brochure or online. A second day in the lab will allow teams to revise their menus, plan healthier choices and record the information. The calculations can be done outside of class or during class. The presentation to the class can be planned in class then finalized in the computer lab preparing a PowerPoint presentation.
