Teacher Process
I believe that this will be very adaptable. It is flexible in time. If it is needed, the teacher may extand the time that is needed in each task. Is is an estimate of 6 days to complete with a class period of 60 minuets. Also, there is the fact that it is easy to change the different types of end products. One variation could be a scale model of the building that they have to make. Also, it would be easy to make up more jobs. For example, you could add in a script writer to it. It is also possible to add more to it after the presentation or have each team build a scale modle and have them test it.
One thing that I have found makes a difference between a team that works together and a team that falls apart is the use of team building activities. One thing that I do for large team projects is to have a short team building activity before the students decide what task they will choose. It can be as simple as naming the group to having the students make a team sticker.
