STEP 1:

Your first job is to look at old fashioned advertising techniques that were used in print and tv. You will also finish the Advertising Techniques Worksheet. Look at each technique carefully before filling in your answers on the sheet.  

 

Snob Appeal: Tries to convince you that if you use the product, you will become a member of an elite group of people that is better than others.

STEP 2:

1. Create an ad using one of the old-fashioned advertising techniques. Your choices are: emotional words, bandwagon, plain folks, comparison, snob appeal, and testimonial.

2. Your ad must include a picture and words. 

3. Your ad must be a print ad on a size 8 1/2 by 11 sheet of paper. 

4. On the back, you must include a MINIMUM of 1 paragraph (5 sentences) explaining which technique you used and why you think it is successful.
