Task

TASK

First, in groups of three to five, the students will research and analyze the symbolism of the number seven and the seven deadly sins and absolute virtues, connecting these abstract ideas to the concreteness of the Seven Commandments from Animal Farm. Next, after studying their own local student code of conduct/dress code, the students will research and analyze other schools/districts/states for their specific codes, comparing and contrasting all the various elements and interpreting them for their relevance and effectiveness.  Finally, the students will decide which changes or modifications need to made in their own code of conduct/dress code and prepare a multimedia presentation intended to persuade the local school board that their synthesized information should be taken under consideration.
