Gallery: Collection

Artist: Van Gogh

Picture: Sunflowers

Description: One of the most famous work of a Dutch painter. Van Gogh  painted it between October and December 1688. His first idea was to paint twelve panels of the flowers. He worked every morning from sunrise on, because the flowers fade quickly. But at the end he made only three versions of the picture. The picture is considered a symbol of happiness.
