Process

In order to accomplish the task appropriately, please split up into groups of three or four and then follow the suggested procedure to begin your research:

 

1. Collect your main ideas and don't forget to plan your time (for the steps 2 to 5 you need 90 minutes). We suggest you some helpful websites for your research, but feel free to browse additional websites or use other search engines (Altavista, Google, Yahoo, ...)

 

2. Book your flight:

 

3. Choose an itinerary of places you would like to visit - big and chaotic cities like Los Angeles or San Francisco, the quiet and natural Napa Valley, the relaxing Orange Counting, ...:

4. Choose the activities you would like to do there - fun parks  ,

sightseeing tours  , nightlife, sports  , ...:

5. Choose the accomodation you prefer - hotel, hostel, camping, ...: 

 

6. Revise and elaborate all the information with your own words. Think about the supporting material you will use for the presentation (photos, maps, transparencies, ...). If there are unknown words, look them up in the dictionary. For this step you have 50 minutes time.

 

7. Practise the oral presentation. It will last 15-20 minutes, in which you will have to present your holiday carefully, justifying your choices and being able to answer some questions. Every member of the group has to be active during the presentation.

 

8. Present your holiday and listen to the other presentations, which you have to evaluate using the prepared grid (see EVALUATION).

 

Finally the best holiday will be chosen!
