This Webquest will engage students in exploring active volcanoes in different parts of the world. They will also have to compare the effects of volcanic eruption in different place and evaluate how areas in avtive zones could be managed.

Introduction

This Webquest aims to help you to explore active Volcanoes around the world.

You are an explorer.  You will be traveling around the world to find the active volcanoes which have on impact on the people who live in the active zones and also on the environment.

 
This will provide practice for you to understand the world in spatial terms
as students will explore physical systems and the relationship between human
and physical environments.
  
    • How does a volcano look?
    • Where in the world can we find active volcanoes?
    • What is the effect of volcanic activity?
    • Why do people live in active zones?

     

 You will also get the opportunity to link this topic to your mathematics, science, language arts, visual arts and technology in the different presentations.
