Students will search for the hidden treasure of Captain Issac as they research the topics of motion, speed and velocity.

Teacher Introduction

Middle school students have a difficult time grasping the basic concepts of physics.  Since the study of physics builds on itself, it is important that they have mastered this content before moving on to high school.

This webquest was designed to help students understand the vocabulary and equations relating to speed and motion.  It is meant to be a supplement to a physics lesson or lab.  It can also be used to help review for a test.

The Puzzled Pirates webquest is short in length so that it can be completed in one class period.  Teachers can modify the handout easily without changing the goal of the webquest.  Questions can be deleted or changed to change the location of the treasure.
