In this Web Quest students will learn about a number of differnt ships that sailed and then sank losing their treasures to the ocean floor.
Teacher Introduction
This lesson was written to coincide with a book that is part of a Houghton-Mifflin Intervention program called SOAR to SUCCESSS, but it can be adapted to meet the needs of other students as well. The lesson explores the world of sailing ships that sank and have since been found. Some ships remain underwater and some have been successfully recovered. Learning about this topic is more fun when the students can explore and learn about these ships themselves.
