KWL

            In Class Activity

            Length of time allotted:  Depending on groups 25-45 minutes

            Students will need to print the worksheet and work cooperatively to complete the section.

 

Vocabulary

            Partially in Class Activity: The first three words need to be done in class, the other three are done during there research.

            Length of time allotted: 25 minutes

            Student will need to print out the vocabulary templates and work cooperatively to complete.

 

Reading Guides

            Started In Class: remaining done as homework

            Length of time allotted: Depends on student, finish as homework

            Student will need to print out the reading guide for their role.  Students will be in different places and looking at different websites.  This task is individual and will       take the most time.

 

Map and Explanation

            In Class Activity

            Length of time allotted: One full class period

            Students should come prepared with their reading guides and ideas.  The class   time should be spent creating the map and finishing the details.
