In this webquest, students will investigate consumer credit, specifically credit cards. High school graduates and college freshman are offered many opportunities to sign up for credit cards. They will develop an understanding of terms, how to compare offerings, and how to decide how much of credit line is appropriate.
Teacher Introduction
This Webquest focuses on student discovery of what credit cards are, and asks them to decide if they should get one, too, when they graduate and start college.
It does not cover credit card fraud, theft of ID's or what to do if you overspend, though some of these issues may be found in the articles.
Time frame: 15 45-minute classes (3 weeks)
