This webquest was developed to help make the addition of fractions with unlike denominators more concrete for my remediation math students in Grade 5. The intent is for students to experience this addition in a concrete, visually appealing fashion before we begin to work on the hows and whys of creating equivalent fractions with like denominators in order to add fractions with unlike denominators.
It can easily be adapted to use for regular students in grades 3 - 5.
