Fraction Addition using unlike Denominators

 

Uses only representations for fractions with like denominators. Some inaccuracies may be present. Uses mostly equations with like denominator fractions. One or two pages show unlike denominators. Most equations are correctly written and solved.
All pages are clearly about addition of fractions with unlike denominators. Work is done correctly. Equations  and explanations help teach the concept. A variety of equations using fractions with unlike denominators help teach the concept. All equations and explanations are clear, complete, and easy to understand.

 

Connections between Illustrations and Mathematical  Content

 

Fractions are evident for some pictures, but connection is often unclear.Some, but not all, pictures show clear connection to the math content.
Pictures and math obviously connect. The overall message is easy to see and looks good. Pictures created clearly add to understanding of the math concept; book  is visually appealing as well as mathematically correct.

One student takes responsibility for most of the work and has others as helpers.
Most team members share their knowledge and work with the team.
Each team member fulfills his/her responsibility in making a quality product and teaching the team. All members share knowledge from expert groups and check to see that the others understand.  Entire process becomes a shared effort that adds to a quality product.
