Students will use the Webquest to research a habitat and complete a group project. Students will be divided into three groups. They will be responsible for finding information on plants, animals, and environmental conditions for their given habitat (wetlands, desert, or forests).
Teacher Introduction
We are using this as a kick-off for our integrated thematic unit on habitats. The students will research on the Internet to find out what a habitat is, some characteristics of their habitat, and some plants and animals that live there.
They will do their research individually. Then they will work as a group to decide how they want to represent their habitat in their mobile.
They will present their mobile to the rest of the class, telling them about the habitat and who lives there. All of the presentations can be done at once or as an introduction to studying the specific habitat.
