Students will go on a rescue mission to save the Rainforest and the animals that live there.

Teacher Introduction

The goal of this quest is to allow students to see how wonderful and beautiful the rainforest can be. Rainforest Rescue Mission will open the eyes of students to make them aware how needed the rainforest is to the world, and how important it is to protect our environment.

A great way to introduce this webquest is to read the story One Day in the Tropical Rain Forest by Jean Craighead George. It is about the future of the Rain Forest of the Macaw depending on a scientist and a young Indian boy as they search for a nameless butterfly during a day in the rain forest. This book is a great lead way into this project, to get the students thinking about the importance of the rainforest, and why we need rainforests in our environment.
