Process
Task#1 Each group is responsible for the four layers. Decide who will study which layer. Draw a diagram of your layer, what it contains (plant life, animals, and anything else that you find interesting about your layer) and present it to your group in the form of an overhead sheet. Use the sites given below to help you with your drawing. You may get your overhead from the teacher once you have a rough draft sketched out.

Task #2: Each member will explore one of these reasons for rainforest destruction:

Task #3 You and your group will create a t-chart that demonstrates the cause and effect of rainforest destruction. Use the topic your group chose to research in task #2.
Task #4 Use your newfound knowledge to encourage others to protect our Earth by composing a letter to your local senator and representives explaining your concern for the rainforests, and their prevention. Then share it with your classmates.
