This webquest was originally designed for students in 5th grade, but you can modify it to accommodate 3rd or 4th grades. This is primarily a science based lesson, but you can integrate some parts of this lesson in English Language Arts, and maybe even in Social Studies (when talking about the history of Snowflake Bentley). Most of the activities in this lesson can be done in groups of three or four, but again, the grouping is also flexible.
