This is a webquest about snowflakes for 5th grade. In this quest, students will learn about how snowflakes are made, who discovered them and even how to make their own!

Teacher Introduction

What comes to mind when you hear the term snowflake?  Cold weather?   Slippery driving conditions?  Shoveling?   To children, it is a wondrous thing that they can play in.  Snowflakes are beautiful little phenomenoms that as an adult, you probably don't think much about.  In this lesson, you can rediscover snowflakes the way you used to as a child.  And, of course, your students will have fun guiding you in the process!
