Process

You and your partner will do some research on your assigned Native American tribe.  Most importantly, you need to find out what food you are expected to eat, and what kind of house you live in, including what it looks like and what it is made from. With these facts, and using power point, the two of you will tell the class about a typical day in your life.  Please include an illustration on each page of your power point.

Your teacher will select your partner and the Native American tribe you will belong to in your dream. Using alphabetical order of your first name, the first person will be the food expert and the second person will be the home expert

You will need a home and food chart to write down your information you find. To print the chart, go to:

Webquest chart

All the food experts will go to one side of room to work and the home experts will go on the other side. Together you will find the information that will be important points in your story. All of your information can be found going to:

Food Expert:

This person will find the foods that the tribe ate.

Did they have to hunt or plant?

What was preparation after finding the food?

What were the roles of the family members involving the hunting, planting, and cooking?

Home Expert:

Your job is to find out which kind of homes the tribe lived in at this time.

What materials did they have to use?

Was the home made for warm or cold weather?

Did it have many rooms or just one or two?

Forming your presentation together:

Next, the two of you will share your information with each other. While doing this, share by telling each other what you found and also filling in your chart with your partner's information.

Both of you will use at least three facts to put into your presentation.

After rereading your story to each other, divide the story into pages for a power point slide show. You should start your slide show with a title page (cover) and end with a conclusion.

Make sure your slide show has illustrations. You have a choice to draw your pictures to be scanned into the show or use the Microsoft paint program.
