Evaluation

Your team will be graded on each project.  Each project is worth 100 points.  In addition to these three scores you will receive a 20 point Team Work score.  Your four scores will be calculated together to determine your final score on the project.

Travel Brochure

Your travel brochure is the Daily Planet’s way of selling trips to the different planets in the Solar System.  Keep this in mind as you create your brochure.  You want to create a brochure that will entice vacation seekers into coming to the planet.  Make your brochure as catchy, eye appealing, and persuasive as you can.

 

v     Your brochure MUST include all 12 facts that you filled in on your recording sheet.  (40 points)

 

v     Your brochure should be illustrated on every page.  (25 points)

 

v     Your brochure should be neat.  (10 points)

 

v     Your brochure should persuade people to visit your planet.  THINK:  What would make someone want to vacation there?  Is there something interesting about the planet?  Is there something there that people would want to see?  (25 points)

 

Advertisement

 

You advertisement poster for the planet that you visited should include the following:

 

v     The name of the planet, clearly visible.  (15 points)

 

v     A picture of the planet taking up most of the poster paper.  (40 points)

 

v     A catchy slogan about your planet that will make people stop and look at the poster.  (20 points)

 

v     It must be neatly done and show effort.  (25 points)

 

It may also include facts about the planet or enticing reasons that people would want to vacation there.
