This webquest is designed to help students better understand fractions. They will learn about halves, thirds, fourths, eighths, and their relationship to the whole. They will have three tasks to complete. The tasks will help them decide how many pizzas to buy for their group pizza party.
Teacher Introduction
Fractions are all around us. We use fractions when building, measuring, cooking, and for many other tasks. Knowing basic fractions, their values, and how to compare their values is a very important skill. Students will learn this skill by preparing a pizza party for their group of four. They will practice identifying fraction values, comparing fraction values, and finally, they will draw fraction values. When they have completed this task, the only task left is to order the pizza!
