Task 1 Includes complete information about soils, climate. precipitation, growing season, plant life, and explanation of soil types. Information is organized and easy to understand and the presentation is easy to follow. Information is provided, but it is either incomplete or parts are missing. Information could be better organized.
The presentation is sketchy and very incomplete. Information is not organized and difficult to understand.
Task 2 The region has been selected and the recommendation as to which crop will be grown is supported clearly and strongly with the information gathered about the chosen region. The region has been selected, but the supporting ideas for which crop to grow is not as clear as it should be. There appears to be little or no thought given as to why Mr. Pennypincher should grow a given crop in the chosen geographic area. The group may not have even chosen an area for the farm.
Task 3 The group has brainstormed and listed several factors about buying and operating costs involved in farming including up-front costs and ongoing expenses. There are a few factors listed about buying and operating a farm. There are more important ideas that need to be listed. There are few if any factors listed by the group relating to the initial and operating costs of a farm.
Conclusion Conclusion summarizes completely what the group accomplished. Conclusion has not covered all or the elements of the group's work. Very little of the group's work is included in the summary. The report is difficult to follow.
Presentation Presentation is clear with few or no errors in wording or sentence structure. There are very few misspelled words and grammar mistakes. Presentation has many errors in sentence structure and wording. Some words are misspelled and there are many grammar mistakes. The presentation is full of wording, grammar, and sentence structure mistakes. There is little effort made in correct spelling.

Each section will have a maximum of 20 points awarded. Maximum score is 100 points.

Good: 10-15

Points will be compiled for all 5 sections and grading will be applied as per the class grading scale.
