Fairytale Fun is a WebQuest designed to introduce students to the elements of fairytales. With this new knowledge students will use these elements to write their own fairytale.

Hans Christian Anderson and the Brothers Grimm, some of the greatest writers of fairytales, need your help!! They are almost finished with their New Book of Fairytales. They have some blank pages in the book and can't think of any more stories. After writing hundreds of fairytales that children all over the world have enjoyed, they have run out of ideas. They NEED YOU to come up with a fairytale so they can finish their book.
Just what is a fairytale, you ask? Well, a fairytale is a kind of story that has:
¨ One character is jealous of another’s beauty or goodness
¨ Characters are put to a test
¨ Characters get help from a magical creature
¨ Honesty or cleverness is rewarded
¨ Foolishness or evil is punished
¨ Characters are transformed into something better
¨ Characters marry into royalty
¨ Characters live happily ever after
