"Pssst! Young
detective! Hello, sugar, I've been waiting for you. Let me fill you
in on the case: There are several 'priceless' birds that were
stolen from a museum. They are falcons from the Middle East, known as
the the Persian Peregrines. Each is solid gold! We need your help. | ![]() |
"I don't know all the details of the case. No one does. Each of the people you will meet can fill you in on what they know. Each is tracking down one of the Persian Peregrines. All of us work for the man you met earlier. It is very dangerous and secrets must be kept. Here's a whistle for your Detective's Kit.
"Each time you complete a task, it will put one of the Persian Peregrines back into our hands. You will advance by receiving important parts of your Detective's Kit. We recover the goldent birds, and you get your advancement. Got it? Good. I will get you started. The others will fill you in on what you must do to continue. Just follow the gold birds."I see you are taking note of everything I have said. That is good.

Earn your Detective I.D. Card |
"We meet again. Good work, kid -- the first Persian Peregrine is safe and sound! You know, I'm beginning to take a shine to you. But we've only just begun. You've got your Detective's Identification Card, now, but we've got to keep moving.

"There's plenty to still do. You will determine whether you are cut out to be a detective or not.Your next contact will be a man on a train. He'll recognize you, so don't worry. In the meanwhile, don't take any wooden nickels! That's a little joke that means make sure you get the real thing. See ya, kid!"

"Hey, Rookie! Over here. I've been saving a seat for
you. You had some real good luck on your first assignment. Things are going to get tougher from here on, so don't get cocky. Here's another address to visit.
"Look carefully at things in the past. Be careful. Think hard. Try to remember as many events and details as you can. The facts always add "flavor" to the story your trying to piece together.
"Answers only come when you ask the right questions.Who? What? When? Where? Why? and How? Ask all of them. They fill in the details we need. Interviewing the right people can help you to get clues.

"Ready? We're all counting on you, now, rookie. Just follow this address to the gold bird:

"I've been watching you work. You're poetry in motion, Slick! And that nice bit of investigating just earned you the next piece in your Detective's Kit. It's brass, I hope you like it. It's a detective's whistle. |
|
"If you get in any trouble, just whistle. -- You know how to whistle, don't ya, sugar? You just put your lips together and blow! |
|
Your next contact is with a Swedish woman. She will clue you in on the next part of your case. Keep your chin up, sugar."
