Credits

I have always been a film noir fan, although I never heard that term for these artistic black-and-white movies until I grew up. My mother was a real movie buff. The early days of television were filled with these old black and white movies. A fond memory of mine is watching them with Mom.  She told me the names of all the old actors and explained the intricate stories.  She would talk to the characters with comments, like, "Ah, ha!"  or "Look out!" or "We don't like sneaky people, Mister!" and so on. It was infectious and fun.

In order to write an autobiography, a person has to become a detective, of sorts, and try to find the clues from the past. It seemed only natural to connect that detective work with my love of the old detective films from my childhood. Here are some that I have drawn from:
