Mountains? Deserts? Lakes....... Just what is the geography of your country?

Cartography is another word for the making of maps.  Cartographers have been making maps for thousands of years.  Often mapmakers were proven wrong and their maps shown to be incorrect with later explorations.  Early maps showed the world as flat! Today, with country borders changing constantly maps are needing to be remade and updated.

  1. You will need to locate and place on a slide a geographic map labeled with bodies of water, the capital and two other major cities.  It will also need a compass rose, and landforms (major rivers, lakes, mountain ranges, etc.)
