Process

1.  Research

The links below are arranged according to specific roles, but don't let that stop you from visiting as many of them as you want.  The more informed your team is, the better your final tour presentation is likely to be!

Entire Team: Teamwork

Each member of your team has specific responsibilities to carry out and specific materials to contribute, but don't forget that you are all working together toward a common goal: a plan for a tour "following St. Paul," which will be presented in the form of a final promotion product (a multimedia presentation, a brochure, or a Web page).  It's a good idea to "begin with the end in mind."

Entire Team: Tours

When creating your tour, it's a good idea to be aware of what the competition offers, but don't imitate them: be sure to make your tour distinctive.

Scripture Scholar: Scripture, History, and Analysis

Travel Specialist: Maps, Transportation, and Sites to Visit

Photographer/Illustrator: Photos and Illustrations

Media Specialist: Multimedia Presentations, Desktop Publishing, and Web Design

2. Share

Consult Other Experts

Each member of your team is a capable expert in his/her field, so each one knows the value of consulting with other experts.

Once each member of your team has done initial research, each of you will consult other experts to compare notes, share observations, and interpret findings within their respective fields of expertise.

Consult Your Team

Return to your team and share all that you have discovered.  Work together to determine the destinations and extent of your tour, as well as the key points to be covered and/or depicted in the final promotion project.

3. Create and Present

As a Team, you will produce a final promotion product  and present it to to the tour company, ACTS (portrayed by the rest of your classmates).

Final Promotion Product

  1. A multimedia presentation (using MS PowerPoint© or Star Office 8 Impress©, minimum 1 slide for each destination, 1 slide for a map of the route, and 1 slide about St. Paul); OR
  2. An illustrated brochure or flyer (minimum 1 sheet, double-sided, with a map of the route and information about each destination and about St. Paul); OR
  3. A Web page (minimum 1 link to each destination and 1 link to information about St. Paul, as well as a map of the route)

Any material (such as text or illustrations) obtained from another source must be documented with proper citations.

Be sure to check the Evaluation page to see the criteria on which you will be graded.

Presentation to ACTS

Every member of your team must participate and give part of the oral presentation. of the final promotion product.

Each team member should rehearse his or her part in front of the other team members so that they can offer constructive suggestions for improvement. When your rehearsal is complete, you will be ready to make your presentation to ACTS.

All Christians Tours and Studies (ACTS)

While other teams make their presentations to ACTS, your team will join with others who are not presenting.  Together you will portray ACTS.

Be sure to check the Evaluation page to see the criteria on which you will be graded.
