Process I: Research

Refresher Course--Entire Team

Your first stop: a visit to a "refresher course" in volcanoes, plate tectonics, and other important information.  Choose from the following.

Process II: Share

Consult Other Experts

Each member of your team is a capable expert in his/her field, so each one knows the value of consulting with other experts.

At this point, having returned to the present, the experts on your team will consult other experts to compare notes, share observations, and interpret findings within their respective fields of expertise. 

All Cartographers meet together to share and discuss their maps.

All Statisticians meet together to share and discuss their spreadsheets and charts.

All Technologists meet together to share and discuss their technology research.

All Media Specialists meet together to share and discuss their presentations.

Evaluation and Recommendation 

Return to your team and share what you have learned. 

As you and your team review the research, you must evaluate what you have learned and shared in order to make a recommendation to SOLVE.

Process III: Create and Present

As a Team, you will present your findings and your recommendation to SOLVE with the aid of a multimedia presentation.

This should be done with either Microsoft PowerPoint or Star Office 8 Impress.  It should include appropriate illustrations, transitions, animations, and sounds, and it may include links to appopriate Web sites.  It should have a minimum of:
