Learners

The learners who will participate in this WebQuest are English 2 students, students of World Literature.  We will do this webquest prior to our reading of Henrik Isben's play, A Doll House.  Also in this women's issues unit, we will read:  "Lot's Wife," by Anna Akhmatova, "Marriage is a Private Affair," by Chinua Achebe, "The Jewels," by Guy de Maupassant, "The Weed," by Amrita Pritam, "The Jay," by Yasunari Kawabata, "Elegy for a Woman of No Importance," by Nazik al-Mala'kah, "The River Merchant's Wife," by Li Po, and "Why I Want a Wife," by Judy Syfers, originally published in Ms. Magazine  1n 1971.  The literature will cover the following:  Europe, (France, Norway, Italy), Nigeria, Japan, China, Iraq, the United States, India, Pakistan, and Russia.
