This webquest is intended for students to teach the class about specific details concerning the main groups of people who were persecuted in the Holocaust--Jews, Poles, Political Dissidents, Jehovah's Witnesses and Seventh-Day Adventists, the Handicapped, Sinti and Roma, and Slavs.
Look at the following pictures. What do badges have in common?
These are all badges that represented different kinds of victims of the Holocaust. It is a common misconception to believe that only the Jewish population were victims. Many other groups like the handicapped, homosexuals, Jehovah Witnesses and Seventh-Day Adventists, political dissidents, Poles, Slavs, and Sinti and Roma were all targets. We are going to create memorials in order to make sure that no group is ever forgotten.
