This would be a good time to reflect back on what you learned and about this group. You should be proud of your work, and proud that you have aptly commemorated a group that suffered such atrocities during the Holocaust. Think about that group now, and how important it is to never forget them.
What I was trying to accomplish was to humanize the Holocaust. I know that the statement sounds harsh because we already have spent so much time with the victims, trying to learn everything we can about the horrors of why these events occur, but sometimes it is not enough. We need to, as a society, put faces to the crimes. An act of genocide can only be prevented by create a world-wide sense of empathy and love of humanity. This is just one rtunity to create that sense within ourselves.
