Teacher Process

There are three phases within the webquest to guide students.  They will ultimately complete the following steps:

1.  They will be put into groups; students may select their own groups or be put into groups by you depending on class dynamics.  Effective group work is essential.  Once in their groups, they will assign a role to each person in the group: actor, historian, director, and linguist.

2.  Once roles are chosen, they will begin research on the websites provided.  They will need some guidance as they do this to be sure they are not getting lost in the various websites.

3.  Groups will share what they learned.  As they jigsaw these topics, you may want to circulate to be sure the material is getting covered.

4.  After  studnets have analyzed their information, they will begin to plan a creative presentation. They will have 3 finished products: (1) a skit, or power point, (2) a scrapbook, and (3) a scene or a sonnet.

5.  The students will work on their scrapbooks.

6.  The students will work on their skit or power point.

7.  They will select a scene and begin to rehearse.

Variables:

Be sure to provide enough time for groups to work with the information they have found and to plan, prepare and practice their final presentations.  This lesson is designed to take 2 weeks depending on how long your classes are and how efficient the students are as well.
