Process

The Process: Exploring the Web, Creating a Product
- Read about history and importance of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World on this site.
- On the bottom of the page, click on "Geographic Map". Print a copy of this map, or make a sketch of the general locations of the wonders.
- Then visit each of the seven wonders, take notes and make sketches of what the various artists thought they may have looked like. Remember, only the Great Pyramid is still standing, and we know what it looks like.
- Plan your trip to the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World by starting with the route you will take. You may start or end anywhere you like, but be sure to see all of the wonders, and don't waste travel time hopping around, make a loop of the area that you need to cover.
- Then imagine seeing these magnificent sights, but add some extra excitement by doing something especially fun along the way. For example you may want to enter a camel race at the Great Pyramid, kayak around the Colossus of Rhodes or see a rock concert in front of the Temple of Artemis.
- Write up your tour as an itinerary. Make a new section for each day of you trip, labeled Day 1, Day 2, Day 3, etc. Describe what you will see and what the activities for each day will be. Make it colorful and exciting, but base it on actual information that you gathered from the Internet site. (If you go kayaking, there needs to be water very close at hand.)
