Ladybug webquest intended for use by 1st and 2nd graders.

Teacher Introduction

Teachers and Parents

Thank you so much for taking the time to help your students complete this webquest.  The idea is built on the story The Grouchy Ladybug by Eric Carle.  I am sure many of you are familiar with the book so it should be a fun project to complete.  All of the documentation you need for this project is included on the previous pages.

I have also included the Indiana Reading Standards for first and second grade.  I know it seems like this webquest may be a bit difficult for such young students, but I feel it is a great way to get them started learning the research process.  At times, they may ask for your help with directions, vocabulary, or cutting/printing.  Please feel free to guide your students, but please let them be in -charge of the webquest project.  Trust me you will both feel great when the final page goes into the ladybug folder.

If you have students that have special needs, feel free to adapt this webquest as you see fit.  Make sure to have a copy of The Grouchy Ladybug by Eric Carle in your classroom so kids can see the pictures up close.
