Teacher Introduction
Hello fellow Social Studies educators! This webquest will hopefully help your students unlock their creativity while teaching them brainstorming techniques, how to work in small groups, and how to synthesize a wide array of information. The project focuses on Africa, asking students to create their own country. They will need to search the provided web sites in order to describe a realistic government, religion, housing, education, major landforms, climate, and so on. They will be asked to defend their choices based on the details of countries in their chosen region.
Our hope is that this will be an enriching exercise where students can use higher-level thinking skills while stretching their creative muscles and adding to their content knowledge.
