Teacher Process

Students practice using the rules of capitalization from an early age, but a solid review of the basic rules--using their own work--is a good place to start.  Isolate examples of correct and incorrect usage in their own work, present it in a constructive way, and give them time to look over their own work with specific rules in mind.

Students should also have a chance to practice using the rules in the same format that the rules will be tested in.  That's what the quiz portion of this WebQuest is designed to do.

Once you've had a chance to evaluate student mastery of these concepts, re-teach and re-assess.
