This WebQuest is designed to help middle school students practice highly tested rules of capitalization. The quiz is specifically targeted to the Texas Assessment of Knowledge and Skills (TAKS) test format.

Teacher Introduction

Practicing grammar is definitely not one of the most interesting things to do: especially if you are practicing for standardized tests!  While teaching grammar out of context isn't best practice, we still need to prepare our students for the tests that they will be taking and using a similar format.  That is exactly what this WebQuest is designed to do.  Plus, it has online activities and who doesn't prefer those to paper and pencil drill-and-kill?
