Teacher Introduction

The purpose of this webquest is to serve as  introductory activity to reading The Diary of Anne Frank. Information on World War Two and the Holocaust are essential on there own; however, this information will help students to gain more meaning from The Diary of Anne Frank and to gain a better understanding of why Anne Frank is as important as she is.

Students will work as a team and use Internet resources to gather information about World War Two and the Holocaust. Each team will be assigned one of seven topics. This will get them familiar with Internet research. They will use their research to put together a newsletter which summarizes their information. The team will share the newsletter with the rest of the class; the outcome being that every student in the class will gain a wealth of knowledge about World War Two and the Holocaust.
