This WebQuest is designed as a final project after completing the novel Maniac Magee by Jerry Spinelli. It is a good conclusion to the information covered. A way for students to show their knowledge and what they have learned from the novel.
Introduction
Have you ever thought your life was tough? Did you ever feel like running away? If so, you are not alone. Has anyone tried to bully you? Have you ever been afraid of something? Well, when times are tough and things look bad, don't run pick up this book, Maniac Magee, it can make you laugh, and cry.
Do you like to run? Are you fast? Well, this is the race for you. This race is academic, physical and mental. The winners will walk away with knowledge, experience and insight into the world of Jeffery Magee. Even if you cannot relate to the things aboved don't worry, the WebQuest is still worth your time! You will find something to help you in your journey through life because everyone has to do some growing up.
So here is your goal: Every studetn will show what it might have been like to be Jeffery "Maniac" Magee. So on your mark, get set, go! The first one to reach the goal with the required reslutls will receive the special Maniac Magee Reward.
