Frogman |
Your dreams and life itself are haunted by vivid images of stormy seas and battlefields from World War II. As a frogman on the front lines of battle your job was to clear the way for troops to follow as your team collected reconnaissance and led early attacks on the enemy. With Death as your partner, your team valiantly swam through bitter, ice-cold choppy seas, scaled steep rock cliffs only to encounter an enemy deeply entrenched and prepared for attack. One of the many brave soldiers of Operation Overlord, you survived the day at the Omaha Beaches on June 6th, 1944 even as members of your team did not. Undeniably, the events of the day left a mark on your mind, heart, and soul. Years later, as memorials are built to commemorate other war heroes, you are disheartened to learn that no memorial exists to commemorate the efforts made by those who served in World War II. After a meeting with the Director of the National Legislative Service for the VFW, you are determined to help create a memorial for your fellow soldiers. What stories will you share to convince Congress? How should the memorial look? Where should the memorial be created? What words can be said that will capture the spirit of the Navy frogman? That is up to you to decide. |

Director of the National Legislative Service for the VFW |
Recently promoted as the Director of the National Legislative Service for the VFW, you were surprised to find a frogman gracing your doors. After a brief conversation with this war veteran, you contacted state representatives for guidance with the creation of a war memorial. As you sit at your desk, you remember the difficulty encountered as the last Director helped with the creation of the National WWII Memorial. Will you encounter the same resistance with the creation of a memorial for a secret group of warriors? How will you convince others of the necessity for their recognition? |

Monument Designer |
As an architectural designer for the Lower Manhattan Development Corporation, you have been assigned to work on various projects in New York City. After receiving a call from your friend Pat Fallon at the Fallon marketing agency in Minneapolis requesting your help, you ask your boss to allow you to help on designing a memorial commemorating the efforts of the frogmen of World War II. Although you have never led a team, your boss feels that after three years, you are up to the task as the lead architectural designer on the memorial. With limited experience, you head to a meeting with the members of your team. What will you bring to the table? How will your skills complement those of your team? What type of monument will you create that will capture the spirit of the frogmen? |

A new member of Minneapolis advertising firm Fallon, you have been hired to head the Sao Paolo office in Brazil. After receiving a call from company president Pat Fallon, you are heading back to the states to lead the campaign to erect a memorial for the brave and honorable frogmen of World War II. What strategy will you use to convince Congress to move forward with a memorial? What will you bring to the team to which you have been assigned? Will your advertising genius help you succeed at this noble cause? Only time will tell. |
